2006 NEWS
Flash (U-CH CH Jangio's Lightning Bug, RN, CGC) finished 2005 as the #2 Curly-Coated Retriever in breed points. I must point out that Flash was only "campaigned" from July to November. We are very proud of our sweet, gentle boy!
On January 15, 2006, Flash traveled to Florida to attend the 5th Annual AKC Eukanuba Invitational. Flash was awarded a Judges Award of Merit. Below is a picture of Flash with his handler, Andrew Green.
On January 23, 2006, our Ralph (SR U-CH CH Bayview's Ralph, WC, JH, CGC) became the proud father of seven puppies. More information regarding this litter can be found at Beatrice's litter.

At shows in San Jose, California, on February 19 & 20, 2006, Laketower Lombardi's Dream (Leo), owned by Julie Bracken and Janet Borst in LaCenter, WA, was awarded BOB/BW/WD for a total of four points. Leo currently has 10 points and two majors toward his AKC Conformation Championship. Hopefully, we will have a picture soon.
On February 18 & 19, 2006, we traveled to Baltimore, Maryland, to attend the Annapolis and Maryland Kennel Club Shows. Mona (Cobbossee's Blitzkrieg Bop) was awarded BW/WB on Saturday for one point, and BOS/WB on Sunday for two points. These were Mona's first two shows, and we are very pleased with the results. Mona is owned by myself and Jane Anderson. Below is a picture of Mona.
At those same shows in Baltimore, Mac (Laketower Patriot) was awarded WD on Saturday and BW/WD on Sunday for two points. Mac is owned and handled by Caitlin Gordon. Hopefully, we will have a picture soon.
On our way back from Westminster, we stopped and picked up our newest addition to the Laketower family. Miniature Wirehaired Dachshund, Tallavast Nikki Wire-MW, is now a member of our "pack."
On February 19 & 20, 2006, Nikki also went to Baltimore to attend his first shows with me. I am happy to say that Nikki was BW/WD both days for a total of four points. Below is a picture of Nikki, with Libby in the photo. She has never wanted to be in one of the curly's photographs, but asked to be in Nikki's. I guess I know which is her favorite dog.
Nikki is owned by myself, Gregory Siner and Winnie Reed.
In February 2006, we received paperwork from OFA stating all of Flash's health clearances. We are proud to say that Flash has six health clearances. They can be viewed at Flash's health certifications. Flash's CHIC # is 26266.
On March 4 & 5, 2006, Mona (Cobbossee's Blitzkrieg Bop) was WB at the Monticello KC Show and Northern NJ KC Show, earning two points. Bailey (Laketower Giant Jet Blitz, CGC, TDI) owned by Maureen Mount, was BW at the Northern NJ KC show for one point. Callie (Jangio's Calla Lilly), owned by Maureen, and bred by Jane and I, was RWB both days to Mona. Flash (U-CH CH Jangio's Lightning Bug, RN, CGC) was BOB both days and was pulled in the group on Sunday.
On March 11, 2006, Mona (Cobbossee's Blitzkrieg Bop) was awarded a Puppy Sporting Group 3 at the Pawsabilities breed match in Harrisburg, PA.
On March 11, 2006, Leo (Laketower Lombardi's Dream) was BW at the Lost Dutchman KC show in Arizona for two more points. Hooray Leo!!!
On March 18, 2006, Leo (Laketower Lombardi's Dream) was WD at the Skyline Dog Fanciers of San Mateo County Show for two more points!!
On March 19, 2006, Leo (Laketower Lombardi's Dream) was WD at the Skyline Dog Fanciers of San Mateo County Show for two points!! Therefore, he is now CH LAKETOWER LOMBARDI'S DREAM!!! Thanks to his owners, Julie Bracken and Janet Borst!!!
On March 24, 2006 & March 26, 2006, Flash (CH Jangio's Lightning Bug, RN, CGC) was BOB at the New Brunswick Kennel Club Show and Twin Brooks Kennel Club Show. He was pulled in the group on Friday!!!

On March 25, 2006, Mac (Laketower Patriot) was BB/BW/WD at the New Brunswick Kennel Club Show. He earned two points, and was handled by his owner, Caitlin Gordon, to this win!

On March 26, 2006, Mac (Laketower Patriot) was BW/WD at the Twin Brooks Kennel Club Show for one point. Callie Girl (Jangio's Calla Lilly), bred by Jane and I, was WB for a point. Callie Girl is owned by Maureen Mount.
On April 1 & 2, 2006, Pick (Blacbarc's Draft Pick, WC) earned two more legs toward his UKC Started Title!! Congratulations to owner/co-breeder Mary Veitch & Pick!!!

On April 8, 2006, Pick (SHR Blacbarc's Draft Pick, WC, CGC) finished his UKC Started Hunting Retriever title, after earning his fourth leg. Congratulations to Mary & Pick!!!!
On April 9, 2006, Pick (SHR Blacbarc's Draft Pick, WC, CGC) earned a fifth leg at a UKC Started Retriever hunt test. This one was just for fun!!!
On April 14, 2006, at the Augusta Kennel Club Show in Perry, Georgia, Pick (SHR Blacbarc's Draft Pick, WC, CGC) was WD for one point! Hooray Pick!
On April 15, 2006, at the Harrisburg Kennel Club Show, Mona (Cobbossee's Blitzkrieg Bop) was WB for two points. Mona is now singled out and needs majors to finish.
On April 16, 2006, at the Mason-Dixon Kennel Club Show, our dachshund, Nikki (Tallavast Nikki Wire-MW) was BW/WD for a four point major under Judge James Frederiksen.
We had a great weekend at the shows in Wilmington, Delaware and Ludwigs Corner, Pennsylvania. Flash placed in the group each day.

On 08/06/06 at the Mahoning-Shenango KC Show, Flash was BOB under Judge Dr. Steve Keating, and was pulled in a very large sporting group by Robert Slay.
On 08/13/06 at the Harrisburg KC Show, Flash was BOB and pulled in the group under Judge Tom Bradley.

At the Schooley's Mountain KC Show on 09/04/06, Flash was BOB and Bailey was WD. Flash was also pulled in the group under Judge Howard Yost.
At the Somerset Hills KC show on 09/09/06, Flash was BOB and Bailey was WD under Judge James Covey.
At the Westchester KC show on 09/10/06, Flash was BOB under judge Robert Indeglia.
At the Pocono Mountain KC Show on 09/15/06, Flash was BOB and pulled in the group under Judge Mary Ann Alston.
At the Lehigh Valley KC Show on 09/16/06, Flash was BOB and Bailey was BW/WD under Judge James Reynolds for a four-point major, and his Championship!! Congratulations to Maureen and Bailey. At the Berks County KC Show on 09/17/06, Flash was BOB and Mac (Laketower Patriot) was RWD.
At the Valley Forge KC show on 09/24/06, Bailey (CH Laketower Giant Jet Blitz, CGC, TDI) was BOB under Judge Allan Brown. Bailey went right from the group ring to the Rally Obedience ring and earned his second Rally Novice leg.

At the CCRCA National Specialty field events on 10/11/06, Pick (SHR Blacbarcs Draft Pick, WC, CGC) earned his Working Certificate Excellent (WCX). Congratulations to Pick & Mary!! I will have an updated picture of Pick soon!!
On 10/21/06 and 10/22/06, Pick (SHR Blacbarcs Draft Pick, WCX, CGC) earned two Junior Hunter legs at the Tallahassee Hunting Retriever Club's two AKC hunting tests. Congratulations Mary & Pick!!!
On 10/29/06, Flash was back in the ring, after over a month absence, to take the breed at the Middleburg KC show in Leesburg, VA under judge James Reynolds.
At the same show, our dachshund, Tallavast Nikki-Wire MW, finished his championship under judge Susan St. John Brown.
At the show cluster in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania on November 3-5, Flash earned BOB all three days and was given a Group 2 on Saturday under Judge Douglas Windsor.
At the Mispillion KC Show on November 12, 2006, Flash was awarded BOB under Judge Jeffrey Pepper.
At the Philadelphia cluster (Nov. 16-19, 2006), Flash was awarded BOB on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. He was also pulled in the group on Friday and Sunday.
At the KC of Philadelphia Show on Saturday (11/18), Pick (SHR Blacbarcs Draft Pick, WCX, CGC) was awarded Best of Opposite Sex for two points!
At the Northeastern MD KC Show on November 24, 2006, Flash was awarded BOB and Pick was RWD!
At the Upper Marlboro KC Show on November 26, 2006, Mac (Laketower Patriot) was BW/WD for a three point major. He is now a Champion!! Congratulations to Caitlin and the Gordons!!
Flash traveled to Long Beach, California on 11/29, 11/30, 12/1, and 12/2. He was awarded BOB three of the four days under Judges Karen Wilson, Anne Katona, and Frank Kane. The fourth day, he was awarded an Award of Merit at the AKC Eukanuba Show under Judge Dr. Robert Smith.
On 12/9, Pick (SHR Blacbarcs Draft Pick, WCX, CGC) and I went to the Chambersburg KC show, and Pick was awarded BW/WD/BOS under judge Edeltraud Laurin for two more points!
After returning from California, Flash traveled to Boston on 12/9 and 12/10 to attend two shows. He won the breed both days under Judges Tom Bradley and Dorothy MacDonald.
On December 16 & 17, Flash went to Bethlehem, PA to attend two shows. He was awarded BOB both days under Judges David Kittredge and Terry DiPietro. Pick (SHR Blacbarcs Draft Pick, WCX, CGC) was BOW both days for two additional points. Callie (Jangio's Calla Lilly) was RWB both days.
FLASH FINISHED 2006 AS THE #1 CURLY-COATED RETRIEVER IN BREED POINTS WITH 199 POINTS, AND #2 IN ALL-BREED POINTS WITH 2,178 POINTS.
WE ARE VERY PROUD, AND ANXIOUS TO SEE WHAT 2007 BRINGS US!!!
