2007 NEWS
Flash (U-CH CH Jangio's Lightning Bug, RN, CGC) finished 2006 as the #1 Curly-Coated Retriever in breed points (199), and the #2 Curly-Coated Retriever in all-breed points (2,178)!!! Way to go, Flash!! We are very proud, and look forward to another great year in 2007!!!
On January 6, 2007, Bright (Laketower Light Bright T'Jangio) was WD at the Land O'Lakes Kennel Club show in St. Paul, MN under judge Beth Speich. These were Bright's first two points at nearly seven months of age!
On January 7, 2007, Bright (Laketower Light Bright T'Jangio) was BW/WD for two more points at the Land O'Lakes Kennel Club show in St. Paul, MN under judge Virginia Lyne.
On January 13, 2007, Pick, (SHR Blacbarcs Draft Pick, WCX) was BOB/BW/WD for his first major (3 pts.) at the Inverness KC Show under Judge Gale Young.
On January 14, 2007, at the Tampa Bay KC Show, Flash (U-CH CH Jangio's Lightning Bug, RN, CGC) was BOB and Pick (SHR Blacbarcs Draft Pick, WCX) was BW/WD for another point. The judge was Patricia Lapinski. Flash was later pulled in the group by Gloria Geringer.
On February 8, 2007, at the Big Apple Sporting Society Show, Flash (U-CH CH Jangio's Lighting Bug, RN, CGC) was BOB under Judge Dr. Eliot More. His son, Tristan (Sunbeach Comet to Laketower) was BW for his first point. Tristan was exactly six months old on this date!

On February 13, 2007, at the Westminster Kennel Club Show, Flash (U-CH CH Jangio's Lightning Bug, RN, CGC) was Best of Breed under Judge Valerie Foss, who is from the UK. What a thrill for Winnie, Tom, and myself!! Thanks Andrew & Flash for such a great day!!!
On February 17, 2007, Bailey (CH Laketower Giant Jet Blitz, CGC, TDI) earned his last leg for his Rally Novice Title, at the Staten Island DTC show. Congratulations to Maureen & Bailey!!

On February 18, 2007, Sal (Laketower Laff in the Dark) was awarded a Group 3 at the Youngstown All Breed Training Club Puppy Match!! Congratulations to Sue Davis and Sal!!
On February 24 & 25, 2007, Tristan (Sunbeach Comet to Laketower) was Best of Breed at the Rockland County KC Shows. We also hear that he "stole the show" in group both days! :) Congratulations to Ernie, Bonnie & Tristan!!
On February 26, 2007, Pick (SHR Blacbarcs Draft Pick, WCX, CGC) earned his first Rally Novice leg. Congratulations Pick and Mary!!!
On February 27, 2007, Pick (SHR Blacbarcs Draft Pick, WCX, CGC) was BOW at the Greater Panama DFA Show for two points under Judge Donna Buxton. Congratulations Mary & Pick!!!
On February 28, 2007, Pick (SHR Blacbarcs Draft Pick, WCX, CGC) was BOW at the Greater Panama DFA Show for two points under judge Jerry Watson. Congratulations again to Mary & Pick!!!
On March 3, 2007, Tristan (Sunbeach Comet to Laketower) was RWD at the MD Sporting Dog Show Association under Judge Rita Bell. Tristan went on to Puppy Group where the made the "short list" of six out of 28 breeds. Way to go, Tristan!!
On March 4, 2007, Tristan (Sunbeach Comet to Laketower) was WD for two points at the MD Sporting Dog Show under Judge Mareth Kipp. Congratulations to Tristan, Bonnie & Ernie!!

On March 4, 2007, Pick (SHR Blacbarcs Draft Pick, WCX, CGC) earned his second Rally Novice leg with a third place at the Pensacola DFA Show. Congratulations to Mary & Pick!!
On March 9, 2007, we received telephone confirmation that Bailey (CH Laketower Giant Jet Blitz, RN, CGC, TDI) passed OFA clearance on his hips and elbows. He now has all health certifications that we require for breeding!! Very good day!!!
On March 17, 2007, Pick (SHR Blacbarcs Draft Pick, WCX, CGC) earned a third leg toward his AKC Junior Hunter title in Thomasville, Georgia. Congratulations to Mary & Pick!!!
Also on March 17, 2007, Flash (AKC/UKC CH Jangio's Lightning Bug, RN, CGC) won the sporting group at the Evansville KC Show in Louisville, Kentucky. The group judge was Tom Bradley!! We're very proud of Flash and are thankful to his handler, Andrew!!!

On March 18, 2007, Pick earned his Junior Hunter title in Thomasville, Georgia!! Congratulations to Mary and Pick (SHR Blacbarcs Draft Pick, WCX, JH, CGC)!!!
On March 24, 2007, at the New Brunswick KC Show, Tristan (Sunbeach Comet to Laketower) was Best of Winners for two points under judge Michael Faulkner. Way to go, Tristan!!! Congratulations to Bonnie & Ernie!!

On March 31, 2007, at the Western PA Kennel Assoc. show, Pick (SHR Blacbarcs Draft Pick, WCX, JH, CGC) was BW for a three point major under judge Beth Speich. This win earned Pick his AKC CH!!! Way to go, Pick!!! Congratulations to Mary!!!

On April 12, 2007, Flash was BOB at the Lebanon County KC Show. Tristan (Sunbeach Comet to Laketower) was WD for two more points!!!

On April 13, 2007, Tristan was BW/WD for a three point major at the Chambersburg KC show under Judge Jane Kay!!! Congratulations to Bonnie & Ernie!!!

On April 14, 2007 at the very prestigious Harrisburg KC Show, Tristan (Sunbeach Comet to Laketower) was WD for two points. His littermate, Stout (Sunbeach Pride of St. James Gate Porter) was RWD. Their sire, Flash (CH Jangio's Lightning Bug, RN, CGC) was BOB under Judge David Kittredge, and then was awarded a Group 4 under Judge Lt. Col. Charlie Ruppert. We are proud to announce that this is the largest group placement to date for Flash with over 600 all-breed points. We are very thrilled!!

On April 15, 2007, Sunbeach Pride of St. James Gate Porter (Stout) was WD for a three point major. His brother Tristan (Sunbeach Comet to Laketower) was RWD. Cousin Callie (Jangio's Calla Lily) was WB for a three point major!! Congratulations to Jackie, Bonnie, Ernie & Maureen!! (Thanks to Ernie for handling Callie to her first major!!)

Also on that date, sire of Stout and Tristan, Flash, was BOB and then was awarded another Group 4 placement under Judge Butch Macdonald. Mr. Macdonald was also the breed judge!!

Even though we don't own him, he's still family! This is Flash's son/Tristan's littermate, Stout (Sunbeach Pride of St. James Gate Porter). He is owned/bred/handled by Jackie O'Connor. This was his 1st major at the Mason-Dixon KC Show!!!
On May 5, 2007, at the York County KC Show in Acton, Maine, Grace (Laketower Light The Way Grace) was BOB/BW/WB for her first major!! Congratulations to Susanne & Grace!! Grace's half sister, by Flash, Chocca-Shaw's Dawn Comes Quickly (Grear) was RWB on the same day. Grear was also RWB the following day at the York County KC Show!

On May 7, 2007, at the Delaware Water Gap KC Show, Flash earned a Group 3 under Finnish Judge Hans Lehtinen! Way to go, Flash & Andrew!!
On May 12, 2007, Tristan (Sunbeach Comet to Laketower) finished his AKC championship by going BW/WD! Congratulations to Bonnie, Ernie & Tristan-Comet!!! We will post a picture as soon as we receive it! At the same show Tristan's sire, Flash (CH Jangio's Lightning Bug, RN, CGC) was BOB and received a Group 3 placement. The judge for both breed and group was Donna Buxton.

At the Langley KC Show on May 27, 2007, Flash earned a Group 3 under Judge Charlotte Clem McGowan!
At the Skyline KC Show on June 9, 2007, Flash earned a Group 2 under Judge Elizabeth Muthard!

On June 12, 2007, at the start of the CCRCA National Specialty, Pick (SHR CH Blacbarcs Draft Pick, WCX, JH, CGC) passed the CCRCA Upland Hunting Test. Congratulations to Mary and Pick!
At the 2007 CCRCA National Specialty in Racine, Wisconsin, on June 14, 2007, Pick (SHR CH Blacbarcs Draft Pick, WCX, JH, CGC) earned his Rally Novice title. He also picked up his first CD leg.
Also at the CCRCA National Specialty Puppy Sweepstakes on June 15, 2007, Pyro (Laketower Light My Fire) won the 12-15 Month Bitch Class, and her littermate, Grace (Laketower Light The Way Grace) placed fourth in the class. Tristan (CH Sunbeach Comet to Laketower) was second in the 9-12 Puppy Dog Class. His littermate Stout (Sunbeach Pride of St. James's Gate Porter) was third in the class.
Again at the CCRCA National Specialty, on June 16, 2007, Grace (Laketower Light The Way Grace) won the 12-18 Month Bitch Class, and her littermate, Pyro (Laketower Light My Fire) won the Bred-By Exhibitor Bitch Class. We were very proud of our accomplishments among such a stellar group of curlies.
At the Penobscot KC Show on June 24, 2007, in Cumberland, Maine, Pyro (Laketower Light My Fire) was WB for a four point major. Stout (Sunbeach Pride of St. James's Gate Porter) was BW for a four point major. (Even though Stout isn't ours, he's part of the family.) Father Flash won BOB both days for 16 more breed points.

On June 30, 2007, Flash's son, Stout (Sunbeach Pride of St. James's Gate Porter) finished his AKC Championship by going BOW at the Southern MD KC Show!!! Congratulations to Jackie O'Connor & Stout!!
On July 6, 2007, at the Upper Marlboro KC Show Pyro (Laketower Light My Fire) was WB for a point under Judge Larry Sinclair!!
On July 20, 2007, at the Nita Nee KC Show, Pyro (Laketower Light My Fire) was WB/BOS for two more points under Judge Robert Ennis! Father Flash was back in the ring for a BOB win!!!
On July 21, 2007, at the second Nita Nee KC Show, Pyro (Laketower Light My Fire) was WB/BOS for a three point major under Judge Judy Webb! Once again, Flash was BOB!!!

At the Perkiomen Valley KC Show on August 4, 2007, Flash was BOB, and his daughter, Pyro (Laketower Light My Fire), was BW/WB for a point under Judge Joe Gregory!!
At the Beaver County KC Show on August 4, 2007, Sal (Laketower Laff In The Dark) was WB for a point under Judge Paula Nykiel!! Congratulations to her owner, Sue Davis!!

At the Penn Ridge KC Show on August 10, 2007, Pyro (Laketower Light My Fire) was BW/WB/BOS for a three point major under Judge Terry Stacy!!

Flash, Mona (CH Cobbossee's Blitzkrieg Bop), and Pyro made a quick trip to Canada for four shows on August 24-27, 2007. Flash was BOB all four days and earned eight of the required 10 points for a Canadian Championship. Mona was WB three days, for three points, and Pyro was WB one day for one point! Thanks to Heather Bremmer, and her husband, Kevin Bednar, for including our dogs in their plans!
On August 30, 2007, Grace (Laketower Light The Way Grace, WC) was WB, earning her second major at the Central Maine KC Show. Her sister, Pyro, was RWB from the BBE class, and went on to a BBE Group 3 under Judge Arlene Davis. At the same show, their father, Flash (CH Jangio's Lightning Bug, RN) was BOB, and also was awarded a Group 4 under Judge Arlene Davis. Both group placements were owner/handled by Kelly.

On August 31, 2007, Flash's daughter, Grear (Chocca-Shaw's Dawn Comes Quickly) was WB for her first major, and Pyro was RWB. Father Flash was BOB again and pulled in the group under Judge Lowell Davis. This was Central Maine KC's second show of the weekend.

On September 1, 2007, Flash was BOB and was awarded a Group 3 under Judge Madeline Fish. His daughter, Grear (Chocca-Shaw's Dawn Comes Quickly) was RWB to our Lucy's granddaughter, Magda (Cobbossee's Magda Worden).
On September 7, 8, 9, 2007, Sal (Laketower Laff In The Dark) competed at the Carnation City KC Shows (UKC). She was awarded a Group 3, and earned her required 100 points. Now, she needs her two "with competition" wins to complete her CH. Congratulations to owner, Sue Davis, and Sal!!!
On September 13, 2007, Flash (CH Jangio's Lightning Bug, RN, CGC) was awarded a Group 4 placement at the Pocono Mountain KC show under Judge Robert Ennis.

On September 16, 2007 Grace (Laketower Light The Way Grace, WC) went major reserve, and her father, Flash, was BOB under Judge Madeline Fish.
On September 29, 2007, Grace (Laketower Light The Way Grace, WC) was WB for two points, thus earning her AKC championship, under Judge Linda More. Congratulations to Grace's owner, Susanne Bedard!! Beth (Kelsmere Kokora) was RWB.

On October 13, 2007, Flash (CH Jangio's Lightning Bug, RN, CGC) was awarded a Group 3 under Judge Robert Moore at the Catonsville KC Show!

On October 14, 2007, Beth (Kelsmere Kokora) was WB for a point and Flash was BOB under Judge Gale Young at the Maryland KC Show!
On October 20, 2007, Flash was BOB and Beth (Kelsmere Kokora) was WB/BOS for a point at the Upper Potomac Valley KC Show! The judge was Lawrence Stanbridge.
On October 21, 2007, Flash was BOB and his daughter, Sal (Laketower Laff in the Dark, TDI, CGC) was WB/BOS for a point at the Upper Potomac Valley KC Show under Judge Elizabeth Muthard! Certainly, the highlight of the day was Judge Muthard awarding the Sporting Group to Flash! Thanks to Andrew's assistant, Rachel Kulp, who handled him beautifully to this win!!

On October 27, 2007 at the Trillium Dog Fanciers Show, in Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada, Flash was BOB and earned a Group 4 under Judge Edd Bivin to finish his Canadian championship!! Way to go, Flash!! Thanks to Heather Bremmer and Kevin Bednar for handling him to this title!!!
On October 28, 2007 at the Trillium Dog Fanciers Show, in Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada, Flash was BOB and earned a Group 4 under Judge Nancy Liebes!
On November 24 & 25, 2007, at the Ohio Toy Fox Terrier Association All Breed Dog Shows (UKC), Sal (Laketower Laff In the Dark, TDI, CGC) earned a Group 3 and 4 to earn her UKC Championship! Congratulations to her owner, Sue Davis!!!
On December 8, 2007, at the Eastern Dog Club Show, Flash (AKC/UKC/CKC CH Jangio's Lightning Bug, RN, CGC) was BOB! His daughter, Pyro (Laketower Light My Fire) was WB/BOS for a four point major. This finished her AKC championship!!!
Also on this weekend, December 6-9, 2007, another Flash daughter, Grear (Chocca-Shaw's Dawn Comes Quickly, RN) was BOB/WB on Thursday for two points, RWB on Friday and Saturday, and then WB/BOS on Sunday for a four point major!!! Way to go, Grear!
On December 15, 2007, Flash earned a Group 3 at the Delaware Water Gap KC Show under Judge Robert Ennis, to wrap up his specials career!!!
