Welcome to Laketower Curly Coated Retrievers!

We here at Laketower Retrievers believe that Curly-Coated Retrievers are a great well-kept secret.   We love this breed, and our goal, as breeders, is to ensure that each generation is better than the last.  First and foremost, our Curly-Coated Retrievers are great family members.  We believe in breeding dogs that are not only structurally sound, but mentally, as well.  Our dogs are bred to retain their natural hunting abilities.   All of our breeding stock possess the Curly-Coated Retriever Club of America's (CCRCA) requirements of having hip and eye certifications.  We tend to go a bit further and have our dogs' heart and elbows certified.  Over the past several years, we have also added GSD (Glycogen Storage Disease IIIa) testing on all of our breeding stock. We are current members of the CCRCA (Curly-Coated Retriever Club of America). We have been members in good standing for approximately 13 years.   Kelly has been an active member of the CCRCA with different positions, including Treasurer. She has been appointed to several committees over the years, and in 2004, was chosen as Show Chairperson for our National Specialty. Once again, in 2008, she was chosen to chair the National Specialty, which was held in Carlisle, Pennsylvania!  Kelly also is the current Director for Division IV of the CCRCA.

Winnie is a very valuable member of the CCRCA.  She and her husband, Tom, started the Roc Fund, which benefits animals in need after disasters.  They have donated thousands to aid animals who required help!
